And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Our Pastor - An appreciation

Let us introduce you to our Pastor.  There will be a different biography posted here later.  For now, this is posted more as an appreciation.  An appreciation from our church.

Pastors do not become pastors to get rich or to benefit themselves, at least they shouldn't.  Pastors become pastors because of a calling from God.  God leads them and they follow.  The life of a pastor is not an easy one.  There are great demands placed on pastors as well as their families.  They often spend much more time than anyone knows, other than a pastors wife, tending to their congregation and other pastoral duties.

With the onset of Covid-19 it has placed many more burdens on pastors as they try to figure out other ways to reach their congregation.  Now pastors are working on livestreaming services more than ever before.  Bible studies, prayer meeting, so many things being done by zoom or other alternatives.  Pastors are having to learn how to manage all of the new technology and all of the changes faster than before while still providing for their congregation.

Since coming to our Church in January 2019, Pastor Taariq Patel has had to embrace many changes while still learning how to be a pastor of a Church.  Pastor Patel has often said he is learning and admits to making the occasional mistake.  Mistakes are human and we learn from them.  Pastor Patel has handled every situation with so much grace and dignity.  He always has a calm demeaner.  Prayer is also very important for everyone and Pastor Patel relies on prayer just as we all should.

Pastor Patel has been very active in helping the members to be more active in the Church and to do more, not just for the Church but for the community.  There are more people stepping up to do more inside and outside of the Church.  Our Church is working harder than ever to be a Church the community recognizes and knows will help.

Through all the changes, all the demands, and all the many meetings due to being a pastor of 4 Churches, Pastor Patel has always managed to bring so much to our Church and every member.  Pastor Patel also spends time working with and supporting those who are not members.  Pastor Patel has a true heart for God and it is obvious he is lead by God.  Pastor Patel's sermons always have a wonderful message and show how he studies so he can best lead to what the Bible is truly trying to teach each and every one of us.  We are truly honored to have Pastor Patel as our Pastor.

This month is Pastor Appreciation Month.  From October 4th through October 10th we ask that everyone lift up Pastor Patel and his family in prayer.  Pastor Patel and his family need our prayers as much as we need them.  At this time, we would like to express, publicly, our appreciation for our pastor as well as his whole family.  We are all privileged and honored to have the Patel family as part of our Church family.  They bring so much to each and every one of us, both as a Church and as individuals.  Pastor Patel's dedication to God encourages everyone to also do their part for God, to glorify God.

Glory be to God!  Thank you Pastor Patel for all you and your family do and the sacrifices you make each and every day!
